I have owned my own real estate appraisal company for 5 years and I am looking to get a higher paying/more secure job in banking and finance. Where should I look and what can I do. The ups and downs of appraisals is really getting to me. These recent changes are mostly due to HVCC and other government intervention. I am hard working, dependable, and honest and recently my income has been reduced by 75%.

In banking and finance? Probably nowhere.

I don’t see how being an appraiser qualifies you for any of those positions. Perhaps a management position of some kind (because you ran your own business), but many people from the real estate/mortgage industry don’t have the best reputations right now

Too many sources claiming to know how, but many turn out to be scammers. I need one who is reliable and actually know how to help process loan modification . Scammers, please stay out!

you can do loan modification yourself………….contact your mortgage lender……..he guide you..!

i know one mortgage lender where you can try http://www.iloanshop.com/loan_modification_stop_foreclosure.php here.

Good Luck…….!

Is it because it had no teeth?

I agree with Los Mojados, "The whole banking system is constipated."

Plus the banks are ripping into us good. I was one day late on a credit card payment to Bank of America (since I was in Europe on vacation) and they raised my interest rate from 9% to 25%!! And my credit rating is sterling…

I’m wondering what some legitimate websites (basically I don’t want to be scammed) that list foreclosed homes?

p.s. is RealtyTrac a legitimate one?

You can get a free list from your local real estate office. that is how lenders list foreclosed homes up for sale.

I have been out of work and start a new job on monday, but the mortage company says that i cannot make any payments or a 2,000.00 down payment untill i have a job and next month i will but next month it will go up higher and i just dont understand why they will not take any payment now even if i am not working untill next month.

fIRST, i THINK that is BS. They cant stop youfrom making a payment.

Second, to answer your question.

A couple of gallons of gas and a book of matches should do the trick.

As an investor I buy bank owned real estate and fix and rent in So Cal and I’m thinking of going to Vegas to do the same thing. Do you feel I’m doing the right thing?

I would recommend you to have an expert opinion on it. Dont just believe in others.

How much more affordable did a loan modification make your mortgage payments and what terms were changed on your loan?

Many years ago when rates were much higher than they are today I did a loan modification to get a lower rate and reduced the term of the loan, twice. The payment didn’t go down much, but the term did.

please i need answers

wow i cant believe these jokers that left you all those answers!! Yes, you can do a loan mod twice in one year but it’s difficult. your husband would have to sign anyways if he is on the mortgage. i would recommend going into your local bank and asking them.

Does anyone know where I can find free home foreclosure information? All the sites like Zillow.com to Foreclosure.com charge you by the week or month for access to the detailed information. Is there a state or government website that these sites are getting their information from?

There is a way to search foreclosure listings direct on Bank, Gov, and Asset Management sites. Most places just have a database of the same listings and charge you for it.
Try FORECLOSURENEST.COM its got a list of these free foreclosure listings direct from the source.
You’ll love it.

I do loss mitigation (loan workouts) for a living and I haven’t run into an issue doing what you ask for dozens of people in your position or worse, shoot me an e-mail with your address, balance you owe and the name of your lender or lenders.
With that info I can tell you if it’s do-able or not before you commit to sending me any "personal" information.
This is not one of those deals where you sign over the property to me or anything like that, do not sign over the rights to your home… EVER!.
I’m located in CA but I can help you out regardless of what state your in.
