I need a Loan Modification to save my home. Does anyone know an honest Attorney or Company to use?
Does anyone know an honest Attorney or Company to use to save my home. So far all I’ve found is crooked telemarketing groups. Please help me.

Uh…the only people who can modify your loan are your lender.

Start there. Avoid the scammers

After filing Chapter 13 bankruptcy (mortgage included -fixed rate) my husband became unemployed, so we are now 6 months behind on our mortgage and our attorneys are submitting for a loan modification, what is the process? Is a loan modification always granted?
My husband is now currently working and has been for 3 months now, it has just taken us this long to finally get in touch with our attorneys and also the mortgage lenders attorneys.

no not always. If the lender and the trustee believe that you cannot honor the payment plan then they will take the home out of the bankruptcy filing by a motion from the lenders attorney and foreclose on your home. The worst thing is that he lost his job so how can you even pay the trustee the required payments unless you were on a short schedule and modify it to the full 5 years

they all seem like scams

The Big Banks certainly want the Public to think there are no credible organizations out there to assist distressed homeowners, so the Banks can monopolize the industry. And of course, the Treasury Department takes their marching orders from the Big Banks. Look at the Government website; you’ll see that they warn about scams (scaring the Public), but make no effort to identify a suitable alternative to "do-it-yourself". Those paying attention understand that the Government program is insufficient.

So judge for yourself whether this is a business model worth looking into: Attorney-backed, Better Business Bureau accredited, and they offer a free consultation …

It is difficult to get through to my lender and I am feeling pressure to try to sell this house in case the loan modification is declined. The optimum time to sell a home in my neighborhood is in the spring. Will the lenders work out a new loan on a house that is currently listed to sell?

You should talk to this company..

I really want to move within the next three months. I am currently searching for a foreclosed house. I would like a free listings and not one of those seven days trials. Somewhere between the price range of 250,000 to 300,000. Also in the recession proof- raleigh area or wake county

Check the Housing and Urban Development website. www.hud.gov Additionally, when a house is foreclosed on and goes to auction, the sheriff is required to announce it for sale, so check your local sherrif’s office for a listing

The last thing the mortgage company wants to do is foreclose on your property. However, you must make an effort to pay what you owe. If your condition is temporary, be honest with your mortgage company and they will try to work out a solution with you. If you try to con them or are just trying to buy time, they will proceed with the foreclosure. In the end it pays to be honest with them, and above all, stay in contact with them.

Good luck with your situation.
